Does it support animated WebP?

Not yet. Animated files show a clear error rather than silently losing their frames.

Why did nothing change?

The file was already small for its quality, so re-encoding couldn't improve it. You get your original back.

Each lossy pass loses a little. If you still have the source image, compress that instead.

No. Compression happens in your browser with WebAssembly, so nothing is sent to a server.

Compress WebP

Squeeze WebP files further, without any new format to worry about.

Runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
